Producer of the Agricultural Cooperative of Zakros. An olive tree grower for 35 years, he knows that nature will reciprocate what you have to offer it.
On winter afternoons, when - after a day of hard work - he sees the harvested fruits, he feels alive, because olive cultivation is a way of life for him. For Giorgos, olive oil is an asset important enough to rank third, after his children and parents. Along with its olive trees, he takes care of his garden and fruitful trees. He loves nature, because it cheers him up and offers him time he uses for conversation revolving around its protection, its offer and goods.
Giorgos says: “There are no individual solutions to collective problems. Let us all fight together, with our Cooperative”.
He is certain that the consumers who will put the extra virgin olive oil of Zakros on their table will not regret it and they will go for it again, because it is really worth it. He attributes this value to the climate, the soil, the discipline to the rules of production and the combination of traditional cultivation with new good and eco-friendly production practices. He places great emphasis on the excellent cooperation of the producers of the Agricultural Cooperative of Zakros, who have learned to bridge their differences, saying that “there are no individual solutions to collective problems. Let us all fight together, with our Cooperative”. For him, the key to their teamwork is the common love for what they do, co-perception, the common ground for discussion, rationality and good faith.
