Sesame and olive oil cookies

Sesame cookies recipes

An addictive taste along with coffee or tea. High nutritional value.

A simple, easy and delicious recipe. It makes enough cookies to go around, for the whole family. They can be kept in a closed jar for days, and go well with coffee, tea or juice. Sesame has antibacterial action, contains the nutrient sesamin that helps metabolize body fat, and the antioxidant vitamin E that neutralizes free - radicals and protects the skin from cancer and aging. It helps lower blood cholesterol and offers protection against blood clots. Red wine also has antioxidant action, as it contains flavonoids and polyphenols, such as resveratrol. It helps prevent cardiovascular disease, protects against hypertension and has anti-inflammatory and healing properties.

Recipe

In a non-stick pan, slightly roast the sesame seeds until they get an appealing, golden color. This should take no more than 1-2 minutes. Add the soda to the glass of wine, over the bowl that will contain your mixture, so that you make no mess once it foams. Add the wine and soda mix to the bowl, along with the remaining liquids and stir. Add the sugar and gradually the flour, sesame and baking powder.

Mix by hand, making circular moves, until a relatively soft, moldable dough is formed. Get around 40 gr of dough each time and make small sticks, 10 cm each, or join the edges and make cookies. Dip them in a saucer filled with the roasted sesame seeds, so that they stick on, and place them in a pan, on non-stick paper. Bake at 180 degrees C, for 20 minutes. This should give 2 batches of 15 - 20 cookies each. Good luck!
